Whole Foods Market Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Roasted pumpkins seeds are not only good on their own, but you can also add your own spice combinations.

Start by boiling the seeds in water, toss in oil and spread on a baking sheet to roast. For the full recipe, click here.

Tips From Chef Todd:

Chef Todd Daigle

NBFA Chef and Food Service Supervisor Todd Daigle in the newly renovated NBFA kitchen.

Each month, NBFA Chef and Food Service Supervisor Todd Daigle will provide healthy tips on the recipe to give more options for taste or dietary restrictions.

  • Don't  Have Olive Oil - A good substitute for olive oil is sunflower oil.
  • Spice Combinations - For a spicy option, dust the seeds in chili powder and paprika before roasting. For a sweet option, dust the seeds in cinnamon and brown sugar.

We encourage you to share your experiences making the Recipe of the Month. Please share photos, videos, and suggestions on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @NBFAcademy.
