A new Black History Month bulletin board welcomes students, staff and parents to NBFA thanks to Ms. Carter and Ms. DeVito.
At the left of the new board, a 3D depiction of Africa pops out from the colors of African pride.
On the right side a quote from Marcus Garvey reads “A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.”
The quote sits next to the roots of a tree that blossom into a heart of love. The heart and tree were painted by Ms. DeVito and the depiction of Africa and theme for the board were derived by Ms. Carter.
